These are the super delicious biscuits (scones) which are usually served with fast food “Texas Chicken’s” meals. So easy to make and great for lunch boxes or breakfast.

    1. 250g plain flour
    2. 4 tsp baking powder
    3. 1/2 tsp salt
    4. 25g sugar
    5. 115g cold cubed butter

    1. 140g milk
    2. 2 tsp vinegar
  • Glaze
    1. 50g butter
    2. 50g honey

Cooking Method
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 230ºC. Put a small bowl on TM lid, add ingredients B (to get buttermilk), set aside.
Step 2
Add ingredients A (except butter) into TM bowl.

Add butter and mix (it should look like fine bread crumbs when done).

Pour buttermilk into TM bowl.

Use an ice cream scoop or spoon and place dollops (do not roll) on a lined baking sheet.
Step 6
For glaze: Clean and dry TM bowl and melt butter, then brush some of this melted butter on before baking the biscuits.

Bake biscuits for 13 mins or until lightly golden in colour (depends on oven).

Meanwhile, add honey into remaining melted butter and cook.

When biscuits are done, remove from oven and brush immediately with honey butter glaze (2-3 times over, it should finish up the glaze) . Serve warm or cooled.
Tips
Best eaten warm. If kept overnight (no need to refrigerate), warm in oven slightly before eating. If you have store bought buttermilk, you may use that instead of the milk + vinegar (I used white distilled vinegar).
